Custom Packaging Boxes

Custom printed paper boxes built around your product, packing workflow and brand presentation. Formwise helps buyers clarify specifications and coordinate packaging sourcing in China.

Start with the product—not just the artwork

A box brief should describe the product dimensions, weight and orientation, including any accessories. Tell us whether the packaging will sit on a retail shelf, form part of a gift set or travel inside a separate shipping carton. These details guide the structure discussion and help avoid comparing quotes for different specifications.

Choose a structure that fits your workflow

Folding cartons can be discussed for compact retail packs; sleeve-and-tray formats provide a different opening experience. If the project calls for a substantial presentation box, explore our custom rigid boxes. Closure style, assembly steps and the way products are inserted should be considered alongside appearance.

Paper, printing and finishing

Share your preferred paper appearance, artwork colors and finish references. Coatings, foil details, embossing and other treatments should be reviewed with the selected paper and structure. A visual reference helps communicate a direction, but a physical sample is needed to judge the final surface and fit.

Check dimensions, inserts and artwork together

Specify whether dimensions describe the product, the inside of the box or the outside of an existing sample. Allow room for inserts and packing tolerances. Artwork should follow a supplier-confirmed dieline; small text, folds, glue areas and finishing positions need to be reviewed before approval.

Questions before you order.

What information is needed for a quote?

Send the packaging type, product or internal dimensions, quantity, artwork direction, finishing requirements and destination country. If a detail is undecided, say so and share a reference.

Can the same design cover several product sizes?

A coordinated range is possible to discuss, but each size may require its own structure, dieline and quote. Share the full SKU list early.

Is a retail box also a shipping box?

Do not assume it is. Explain your fulfillment route so secondary protection and transit requirements can be reviewed.

What are the minimum quantity and lead time?

These depend on the specification and supplier. The proposal should state quantity options, sample scope and the schedule for your project.
